Although the exact plot and goal of Cat Sorter VR isn’t entirely clear, this bizarre fever dream of a cat game looks absolutely amazing.
As far as we can tell, players receive cats on a conveyor belt (awesome), pick up the cats (great), change around their body parts (wait what), and toss them into various tubes (OK, really what is happening here?!).
Some of these cats come out with a handful of odd features, like beaks instead of regular little cat noses, or they have an eyeball where their butt should be. Luckily, there are bins of cat parts to turn these adorable little monstrosities into proper felines (or potentially make them even more monstrous) by pulling off their old parts and magically placing on new ones. There’s a leg bin, a nose bin, and a butt bin. You know, normal cat things.
But please, please please please do not drop the cat you are holding because it will disappear into a horrible, pure-white void, lost forever in an unknown dimension.
Cat Sorter VR is expected to release on Aug. 29 for the HTC Vive.
