Michel Ancel, the creator of the treasured Beyond Good & Evil, straight up cried.
One of Ubisoft’s most asked-for sequels has been a consistent E3 no-show for almost a decade, but a new trailer revealed during the publisher’s annual pre-show briefing confirms it’s coming: Beyond Good and Evil 2 is real. Ancel took the stage after the trailer ran and was immediately overwhelmed with emotion.
Now, don’t you get too excited just yet: this one is clearly a long way off. The entertaining reveal trailer is more of a short-film than anything else. But as Ancel noted during the presentation, they’ll be turning to fans for help during development. What exactly that means isn’t clear as the bgegame.com official website is overloaded.
Check out a commentary-laced version of the trailer below and head over to the website as soon as you can.
